The Bite of the South

Inspired by the ancient Southern Italian ritual of the Taranta, The Bite of the South weaves together body, music, and memory in a powerful celebration of liberation and rebirth. The choreography moves between tradition and contemporary expression, reviving the symbolic power of the pizzica while exploring the complexity of the South—not only as a geographical place, but as an emotional and existential landscape. The work invites audiences not simply to watch, but to experience. Through trembling bodies, driving rhythms, and an atmosphere charged with energy, the performance becomes a journey toward healing, freedom, and reconnection with our most authentic selves.

Cradle me
Choreography by Claudia De Luca

Cradle Me is a contemporary dance duet exploring the delicate balance between body and mind within the fragile emotional landscape of the baby blues. On stage, two presences embody a single inner universe: one represents the individual, the other her mind: at times a refuge, at others a destabilizing force. Through support and resistance, control and surrender, the dancers move in a continuous exchange where leading and being led become indistinguishable. The choreography travels through contrasting emotional states, suspended between clarity and disorientation, allowing melancholy to emerge quietly yet profoundly. Cradle Me invites the audience into a vulnerable inner space where the weight of thoughts coexists with the search for comfort, giving physical form to emotions that often remain unseen.

Bikák
Choreography by Katerina Torp

Bikák is an energetic duet that unfolds as a contest of strength, wit, and endurance. Set to increasingly exhilarating music, the dancers challenge one another in a playful display inspired by the spirit and intensity of a bullfight. As the music builds, the performance draws the audience into its captivating rhythm and rising energy.

The duet is performed by Selma Onttonen and Alma Äijö. Live accompaniment features one of Franz Liszt’s most celebrated piano works, Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, performed by the award-winning pianist Aleksei Zaitsev.

From Venice

From Venice is a work for three dancers that tells a story about community and the importance of belonging. The choreography explores a person’s journey towards finding their own place while navigating the expectations of the world around them. Through expressive movement, the piece reflects on the balance between individuality and togetherness.
